MDU/Rx™ is scientifically proven to
rapidly and progressively kill SARS-CoV-2.
COVID-19 spreads through the air and putting patients, healthcare workers, seniors, students, employees and patrons at risk.
The outbreak of COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact worldwide, spreading by air and personal contact. The risk of transmission in healthcare, schools, seniors homes, offices, commercial and industrial settings can be reduced by practicing personal safety measures and using MDU/Rx™ to rapidly kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus in air.
The MDU/Rx™ reduced the viral load in the air by 99% in 20 minutes and below the limit of detection in 80 minutes, significantly reducing the risk of transmission. When combined with personal safety measures, the MDU/Rx™ can help protect healthcare workers, patients, seniors, students, employees, and patrons.
Pyure uses ultraviolet (UV) energy to mimic the way sunlight sanitizes our outdoor environment by safely generating and diffusing hydroxyls and organic oxidants indoors. The hydroxyls react with volatile organic compounds (VOC) to generate powerful organic oxidants.
The study was designed and conducted by Innovative Bioanalysis LLC, a biosafety level 3 laboratory. The study demonstrated the efficacy of the MDU/Rx™ in destroying SARS-CoV-2 in aerosolized form. Innovative Bioanalysis is a certified laboratory located in Costa Mesa, California.
The Pyure device tested in the study was the MDU/Rx™ portable air purifier. The MDU/Rx™ is designed to be placed free standing in a room and decrease the concentration of pathogens when operating. The MDU/Rx™ is an FDA registered Class II medical device.
Every effort was made to simulate a real-life environment in the testing chamber, while taking into consideration the special precautions needed when working in a Biosafety Level 3 pathogen.
The study was carried out in a large test chamber to simulate a real-life environment, The trials were conducted with a very high starting concentration of SARS-CoV-2 virus for aerosolization and surface inoculation, and were run in triplicate, with controls at every sampling time point.
